The Islamic Religious Education (PAI) field study in Biology Education at FITK - UIN Sunan Kalijaga

PAI students learn the implementation of Islamic bioethics, the study of kauniyah verses, and monotheistic biology teaching methods. This activity bridges the dichotomy of knowledge by emphasizing that science is rooted in Islamic teachings.
Key Points in the PAI-Biology Field Study are based on:
1. Scientific Integration:
Applying the paradigm of integration and interconnection between religion and science, for example through the integration of Islamic values in herbal biotechnology studies and Higher Plant Botany courses.
2. Developing Islamic Bioethics Teaching:
Studying bioethics in biology research and teaching, as well as developing learning modules that we integrate Islamic values.
3. Development of the Kauniyah PAI-BIO Verse Study:
Exploring Quranic verses related to science in biology.
4. Islamic Character Development:
Through an integrated curriculum approach to shape Islamic (religious), environmentally conscious, and environmentally aware character.
5. Field and Practical Activities:
Utilizing biology laboratories and research in schools that integrate Islamic values.
This field study demonstrates the paradigm of science integration within the Islamic Religious Higher Education Institution (PTKI), which is actively and continuously implemented by FITK - UIN Sunan Kalijaga.
